Montana native, Dr. Clem C. Pellett, received his undergraduate degree from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. He went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and later completed his Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residency in Rochester, Minnesota, at the Mayo Clinic’s Graduate School of Medicine.

Dr. Pellett was recognized as a top surgeon in the Seattle area after three decades of serving patients in Bellevue, Washington. He also earned numerous other awards, including a citation for “meritorious service” from the people of Zimbabwe, Africa.

Inspired by his successful quest in tracking down the murderer of his grandfather, Dr. Pellett decided to change careers and went on to earn a certificate of private investigation from Boston University.

As a freelance writer, Clem has published his story in numerous print outlets and is the author of the new true crime book “MURDER ON MONTANA’S HI LINE”. ARCADIA Publishing. The book was released on May 20, 2025 and is now available to purchase!

Accounts of this extraordinary story have been publicized in print and broadcast media both nationally and internationally. Dr. Pellett travels extensively across the United States sharing his true experiences. Getting to meet and talk with a wide variety of audiences including law enforcement, legal investigators, university students, health-care providers, forensic scientists, historical societies and lawmakers is one of his favorite parts of this journey. Clem has also delivered keynote addresses to the California Association of Legal Investigators and the World Association of Detectives which is a highlight of his career!

Clem C. Pellett has recently added the titles of producer and actor to his resume for his work on the movie “PELLETT” — a feature film based on his true story. The movie is set to be released later in 2025.
