Clarence C. Pellett Memorial Endowed Scholarship
A scholarship endowment has been created through MSU Havre in remembrance of Clarence C. Pellett who was murdered on April 4, 1951. He lived on the Hi Line and worked in the oil fields. Though his life was ended at age 60, it is my sincere wish that his legacy is carried on by those who work in the trades, as he did.
The endowment will be funded by the proceeds of the sale of Clem C. Pellett’s book “Murder on Montana’s Hi Line” and private donations. This endowment will fund an annual scholarship to a student enrolled full-time seeking a degree in the Technical Sciences (vocational education) with a 2.0 GPA or higher. Preference will be given to students who have been a resident of the following Hi-Line counties for the last five years–Glacier, Pondera, Teton, Toole, Liberty, Hill, Chouteau, Blaine, Phillips, Valley, Daniels, Roosevelt, McCone, Richland, and Sheridan.
